Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Home church plan:
At FBC we believe that meeting together as a church body is essential for our spiritual well-being. We also believe that God has called us to "submit to the ruling authorities" (Romans 13). So, in an attempt to both respect the requests of our government and also live out the faith God has called us to, we are asking that our members meet in their homes for church services for the time being. There are two options of doing this:
Stay home with just your family, and use the materials provided below, each week, to lead a service for your family. (We strongly recommend this option for those who are susceptible to illness. See "health guidelines" below.)
Worship at home with a few other believers. This could be inviting a neighbor over to worship, meeting with your Small Group, or going to a friend's house and worship with them. (See "healthy guidelines" below.)
NOTE: It is your own personal decision how you choose to worship in the coming weeks. Please make your decision based on what you believe is best for your family. We are not requiring anyone to visit another home to worship, nor will we judge anyone who chooses to stay home and worship alone. We encourage you to honor our government's requests.
GIVING & TITHING: We still encourage our people to tithe as normal. To help you accomplish this, we have three current options. If church closure continues for a significant amount of time, we will pursue online giving options:
Mail your tithe check to FBC.
Drop off your tithe/offering to the FBC office during business hours.
Contact your financial institution to set up auto-pay options.
